Thick-walled crucibles
Durable graphite-containing crucibles for precious metal fusion. Compatible with gold, silver, platinum. Long-term durability.

Minimum order: 10 units
Thick-walled graphite-containing crucibles built for casting and fusion where the thin-walled ceramic line would be too fragile. The graphite content adds mechanical strength and impact resistance, so the crucible holds up to more aggressive handling, pouring and centrifugal use, while SPECIAL CERAMIC still gives it full resistance to thermal shock up to 2000°C. Four sizes, Nº1a to Nº4a, from 80g to 700g capacity, sized for casting workshops running heavier and more frequent pours than a bench-top hand-fusion setup.

What makes a graphite-containing crucible different from a plain ceramic one?
The graphite content adds mechanical strength and shock resistance, so it tolerates rougher handling and heavier pours than a thin-walled ceramic crucible, while keeping full resistance to 2000°C thermal shock.
What sizes are available?
Four sizes, Nº1a to Nº4a, from 80g to 700g capacity.
Is this crucible built for casting, not just hand fusion?
Yes — the added mechanical strength from the graphite content is built for casting and workshop use beyond simple hand fusion.
Ceramic or graphite — which crucible should I use?
For clean, contamination-free hand fusion of precious metals, our thin-walled ceramic crucibles are the better choice. For casting and workshop use where mechanical strength matters more, this graphite-containing line holds up better.
